Inspired by the Slow Food Movement and independent farmers and craftspeople, Breadbar offers a wide array of breads, pastries and menu items dedicated to the season.
Artisanal bread - bread like ours that is baked by a process of traditional breadcraft - has a stunningly simple core recipe: it consists of nothing more than flour, water, some salt and an agent of fermentation. The "art" of artisanal bread resides in the capacity of the skilled craftsperson to transform these four basic ingredients into an array of glorious breads. This artisanal process requires due time and depends above all on the joint intelligence of the baker's mind and hands.
